game after game after game
i realize now what is more important in my life, football
show me something more thrilling and perfect volley
tell me you've never dreamed the emaculate strike
in part of that moment when an entire nation holds its breath
tell me that football is not a one common language
when the whole planet stops to be witness for that one thing we all understand
u can tell me am wrong, some may say its just a game
but this is about heroes and prides, loyalty, devotion,
its our commitment and our passion
our battle and our believe, this is our fate
now hear the fever of the crowd
hear the roar of the faithful
u are ronaldinho, u are wayne rooney.
this is the beautiful game.this is ur moment.

Gary Neville
http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/2968/picsrvmanutdcommv6.jpg
Birthdate: 18 Feb 1975
Birthplace: Bury
Position: Defender
Appearances: 542
Goals: 7
Joined United: 08 Jul 1991
United Debut: 16 Sep 1992 v (H) Torpedo Moscow
International: England
Gary Neville belongs to an elite group of players who have skippered the Reds to the Premier League title.
Following on from Bryan Robson, Steve Bruce, Eric Cantona and Roy Keane, Neville realised a lifelong dream as he became the fifth United captain to lift the Premier League trophy following the Reds' record ninth triumph at the end of the 2006/07 campaign.
Neville himself had missed the final stages of the campaign, having suffered ankle ligament damage just 11 minutes into the visit of Bolton to Old Trafford on 17 March 2007. The same injury kept the Reds’ skipper out for most of the 2007/2008 season but even when he is unable to influence matters directly on the pitch, you can be sure his presence is felt in the dressing rooms and from the stands. No-one, but no-one, wants United to win more than Gary Neville.
The defender, who has made more than 500 appearances in a United shirt, was handed the armband during the 2005/06 season following Roy Keane’s departure. Being one of United’s most consistent and committed performers since establishing himself in the side in 1994/95, Neville was a natural choice.

27/08/2008 07:25, Report by Adam Bostock
New kit inspired by greatness
United's new third kit has been inspired by the success of 1968, when the Reds wore blue while becoming the first English team to lift the European Cup.
To celebrate the 40-year anniversary of the momentous night, Nike has created a kit worthy of that great team and their famous 4-1 win over Benfica at Wembley. United will therefore wear blue as their third kit for the 2008/09 campaign and as the preferred kit for this season's Champions League away matches.
The new blue shirt includes a number of details that celebrate the anniversary including the embroidery of the words 'May 29th 1968' and '40th Year Anniversary' around the crest.
The kit uses Nike Fit fabric technology, first used by Nike in national team kits worn by Nike-sponsored teams in the 2006 World Cup. This technology is designed to enhance player performance by wicking sweat through the material and away from the skin. A full mesh back on the player's jerseys also aids ventilation.
United defender Rio Ferdinand said: "When you look at the final image you will associate it with the great team of 1968 with the likes of George Best and Bobby Charlton.
"Obviously they won the European Cup in blue so we hope we can walk in their shoes again with this kit. It's such a big part of the history of the club."

It's really a sad day. Liv'pool beats the Reds 2-1 at Anfield. :baffled:
but every team has their days rite?:D
Babel Scores Winner As Benitez’s Reds Beat Ferguson’s United
Ryan Babel came off the bench to help Liverpool beat Manchester United 2-1 in an exciting Premiership clash at Anfield on Saturday. It was also Rafa Benitez’s first league win over their bitterest rivals as in charge of the Reds.
The victory puts Liverpool at the top of the table after four games, ahead of Chelsea’s trip to Manchester City later on Saturday.
Carlos Tevez put Sir Alex Ferguson’s side up early into the game, but the Merseysiders got on level terms courtesy of Wes Brown own goal. Substitute Babel scored the winner late in the second half.
The Red Devils got off to a great start with summer-signing Dimitar Berbatov on debut, and Tevez up front, while Wayne Rooney started on the right flank.
Berbatov had the first crack at the rivals from the penalty area after a confident passing move by United, but the former Spurs striker’s shot struck defender Martin Skrtel’s arm prompting stifled calls for a penalty kick. But Howard Webb saw nothing wrong.
United did not have to wait for long to make the breakthrough as they took the lead inside three minutes with Berbatov laying the ball for Tevez to find the target.
The classy Bulgarian took the ball to the right by-line sucking Javier Mascherano and Fabio Aurelio leaving gap for Tevez to move in to the area and pulled the ball back for the Argentine, who fired the ball past Pepe Reina from the centre of the area.
The Reds had almost a perfect response as Dirk Kuyt showed good technique to volley with outside of his foot, only to see the shot from 20 yards, miss the target narrowly.
The home side improved tremendously with the passage of time and it was more of an even contest thereafter.
In the 12th minute, Reds had a great chance off a corner by Aurelio as Van der Sar lost the ball, however, Kuyt’s shot from left side of six-yard box was blocked in a goalmouth scramble by the Dutch keeper.
Reds debutante Albert Riera showed flashes of his talent in dribbling skills and quick runs on the left wing. He also had a claim for a penalty kick.
United gave away an own goal in the 27th minute as Van der Sar and right-back Wes Brown made a mess of a deflected ball. Xabi Alonso’s long ranger was deflected by Evra and the ball was heading for the left side of the penalty area when the United keeper came up with an injudicious dive only to flap the ball on Brown and the rebound took the ball into the net.
Tevez almost put United back in front as his cleverly-timed flick went over the cross bar after Anderson sent a superb ball from left.
Liverpool enjoyed a confident start to the second half as they put pressure on United, who however, saw Evra make a couple of crucial clearances – first off a cross from Riera and then Robbie Keane.
In a rare attack by United after the restart, Paul Scholes unleashed a long-ranger, that was however over the bar. But the the Reds kept on knocking on the door at the other end.
Liverpool opened up the United defence with Keane making floated angular ball for Benayoun, whose run was clever, but the Israeli failed to control the ball to keep it in play. Soon after, Keane missed a great opportunity as he could not make contact with Mascherano’s attempted shot.
Growing in confidence, the Reds grew adventurous as centre-back Skrtel bombed up with a run and tested Van der Sar with a fierce strike just past the hour mark.
Berbatov looked to be struggling with a knock and received treatment on the sideline for an apparent knee problem. And with United not having a striker on the bench, Ferguson kept the 27-year-old on.
Benitez introduced England midfielder Steven Gerrard in the 68th minute taking off Benayoun. The regular Reds skipper had started on the bench after recovering from a groin operation.
Reina, who was untroubled for most part of the second half, made a supped finger-tip save off a stunning long-ranger from substitute Ryan Giggs in the 70th minute.
Mounting unrelenting pressure in the second half, the Reds finally got their due as substitute Babel made it 2-1 for the home side in the 77th minute after Mascherano and Kuyt combined from the right side following a patient build-up. United veteran Giggs kept the ball inexplicably in play rather than clearing the ball to safety when Mascherano was in pursuit and the Argentine gained possession to set up Kuyt, who in turn found the Dutchman Babel unmarked at the top of the box.
Mascherano, who had been excellent in the second half, had to leave the field with a strain and Benitez sent on defender Sami Hyypia in the closing stages of the game. United were down to 10 men when defender Nemanja Vidic was sent off after two bookings at the end of regulation time, and Liverpool held out in the frantic closing minutes for a deserving victory.
Teams:
Liverpool: Reina, Arbeloa, Aurelio, Carragher, Skrtel, Alonso, Mascherano (Hyypia 87), Riera (Babel 72), Benayoun (Gerrard 68), Keane, Kuyt.
Substitutes not used: Cavalieri, Dossena, Ngog, Torres.
Man United: Van der Sar, Brown, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Anderson (Nani 78), Carrick (Giggs 46), Scholes (Hargreaves 66), Rooney, Tevez, Berbatov.
Substitutes not used: Kuszczak, Evans, O’Shea, Fletcher.

Overview
Manchester United are the most successful Premier League club having won the title 10 times. It all began in 1993 when manager Sir Alex Ferguson ended a 26-year wait to lift the Premier League crown.
The signing of Eric Cantona for £1.2million from Leeds United proved a masterstroke as the Frenchman was instrumental in the title victory, along with the likes of Gary Pallister, Denis Irwin, Ryan Giggs and Paul Ince.
United retained the trophy in the following campaign and romped to further titles in 1994, 1996, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2003. More silverware was added to the Red Devils' burgeoning trophy cabinet with FA Cup success in 1994, 1996, 1999 and 2004, plus League Cup victories in 1992 and 2006.
Perhaps the most memorable time in the club's history was the treble-winning season of 1999 when they added the European Champions League trophy to the league title and FA Cup.
Chelsea briefly broke their league dominance with title wins in 2005 and 2006. But in the 2006/07 season, the Red Devils roared back to regain the Barclays Premiership.
They went one better last season, enjoying their most successful campaign since winning the treble. They saw off the challenge of Chelsea and Arsenal to win an exciting Barclays Premier League title race and defeated the Blues on penalties in the Champions League final after a 1-1 draw between the two sides in Moscow.
Club Heritage
Formed as Newton Heath L&YR F.C in 1878, the club changed its name to Manchester United in 1902. Six years later they clinched the Division One title, then the FA Cup in 1909, and another title triumph in 1911.
Matt Busby became manager in 1945 and steered United to championship victories in 1952, 1956 and 1957. They became the first English club to compete in the European Cup and reached the semi-final, before going out to Real Madrid. Tragedy struck in 1958 when the plane carrying the team home from a European match crashed, killing eight players.
Busby survived and led his rebuilt team to an FA Cup win in 1963, then league titles in 1965 and 1967. United won the European Cup in 1968 with victory over Benfica in the final - the first English club to do so. When Busby resigned in 1969, his successors failed to continue his glorious triumphs and United were relegated five years later.
They managed to regain their top-flight status at the first attempt and later won the FA Cup in 1977. More FA Cup success followed in 1983 and 1985. But it was United's 1990 FA Cup replay win over Crystal Palace that proved to be the springboard to becoming the force they are today.
It saved under-pressure manager Alex Ferguson from losing his job and he went on to win the European Cup Winners' Cup the season after and began their Premier League dominance with the 1993 title.

Manchester United face their second match in a week against one of their main rivals for the Premier League title when they visit Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
Defeat for Sir Alex Ferguson's side, following last weekend's 2-1 loss at Liverpool, would leave United nine points behind Chelsea although they do have a game in hand.
http://www.4thegame.com/media/00/04/47/ferguson_champions_trophy.jpg
However, it has not been the start Ferguson would have hoped for with a 1-0 victory at Portsmouth their only three-point haul of the campaign so far.
The veteran Scottish manager's mood has not been helped in the build-up to the match with the news that John Terry is available to play after the FA overturned the England captain's red card from last weekend's win at Manchester City.
Ferguson could now be in hot water with the FA himself after saying: "I understand referees' chief Keith Hackett told ref Mark Halsey to rescind the card and he wouldn't.
"I do not understand how this has happened. If it had been a Manchester United player, Hackett would not have done this." Cristiano Ronaldo could make his first start for United since the Champions League Final in May after coming on as a substitute in the midweek goalless draw against Villarreal, but Nemanja Vidic is suspended after being sent off at Anfield.
Michael Carrick is unlikely to play again until the end of October after breaking a bone in his foot last weekend, while Chelsea's only absentee is Michael Essien whose cruciate knee ligament injury is expected to keep him out of action for most of the season.
Didier Drogba and Michael Ballack could also feature in Scolari's plans after recovering from recent injuries to boost a side that has been in excellent form so far this season.
Premier League victories against Portsmouth, Wigan Athletic and Manchester City and a draw with Tottenham have left the Blues at the top of the table and they strolled to a 4-0 victory over Bordeaux in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Five months ago at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea ensured the Premier League title race would go to the wire when a Ballack brace helped Avram Grant's side secure a 2-1 victory against United.

Fit-again Manchester United (http://www.4thegame.com/club/manchester-united-fc/) winger Cristiano Ronaldo (http://www.4thegame.com/club/manchester-united-fc/player-profile/4021/cristianoronaldo.html) is unlikely to start Sunday's Premier League showdown with Chelsea (http://www.4thegame.com/club/chelsea-fc/) despite returning to action against Villarreal.
The Portugal international came off the bench in Wednesday's goalless draw with the Spanish side after missing the opening weeks of the season following ankle surgery.

CRISTIANO RONALDO
Ronaldo was given a standing ovation despite his dalliance with Real Madrid throughout the summer and Ferguson was delighted by the response of the Old Trafford crowd.
"We expected Cristiano to get a great reception," he said.
"He knows the supporters have always been behind him. He has given us great moments and scored some fantastic goals.
"Maybe he was a bit apprehensive but he shows great loyalty and commitment every time he puts that jersey on."
However, the veteran Scot is unlikely to pitch last season's 42-goal top-scorer into the starting line-up for the trip to Stamford Bridge.
The Red Devils are currently six points off the pace set by Chelsea after a slow start to the new campaign.
"That was his first game back so it is a big ask to think about Sunday," he continued.
"To come back like that, without a practice match or anything, the boy has done very well."
Meanwhile, Ferguson also suggested that new £30million striker Dimitar Berbatov will be fit to face Chelsea despite missing the midweek Champions League game with a knee problem.

Championship side Burnley stunned Premier League leaders Chelsea after a dramatic penalty shoot-out at Stamford Bridge in the Carling Cup fourth round.
Burnley keeper Brian Jensen was the hero after he dived full-stretch to divert Jon Mikel Obi's decisive penalty to safety.
Didier Drogba had given Chelsea a first-half lead with a sumptuous finish from a Frank Lampard pass.
But a spirited second-half from Burnley saw Ade Akinbiyi sweep in an equaliser.
Chelsea made six changes to the side that defeated Blackburn 2-0 at the weekend, with striker Drogba recalled to the starting line-up after overcoming his recent injury problems.
But it was Burnley who started brightly, and forced Chelsea onto the counter-attack in the early stages, with Chris Eagles and Joey Gudjonsson looking the most likely to break the Blues' rearguard.
The home side soon managed to exert their influence on the game and a foul on Drogba gave Alex the chance to unleash a piledriver 25 yards out from goal.
The Brazilian defender scuffed his shot but Wayne Bridge came close with the follow-up, sending the ball just wide of goalkeeper Jensen's post.
Burnley were lucky to get away with a handball by the Danish keeper who appeared to use his gloves just outside the area while trying to prevent a Drogba shot.
Defender Juliano Belletti was substituted for Frank Lampard after picking up a knock, and the England midfielder's immediate impact was emphatic, as he played in Drogba with an exquisite pass.
The former Marseille striker left two defenders in his wake before an accomplished finish gave his side the lead and left Jensen with no chance.
It was Drogba's first goal for Chelsea since the Champions League semi-final against Liverpool in April, and the first goal Burnley have conceded in this season's competition.
Malouda nearly doubled Chelsea's advantage after being played in by Kalou, but his shot was pushed away by Jensen.
The French winger then set up Branislav Ivanovic from a free-kick, but the Serbia international's header hit the crossbar and was cleared.
The 6,000 travelling fans were making a lot of noise at Stamford Bridge and were bouyed in the second-half when a nervous-looking Carlo Cudicini struggled to claim a corner, but the danger was cleared.
The Premier League leaders were struggling to exert their dominance on the game amid a spirited Burnley fightback, and appeared happy to slow the game down whenever they reclaimed possession.

Burnley's impressive second-half performance then got the equaliser it merited. Winger Chris Eagles was put through on goal and when Cudicini blocked the loose ball, Akinbiyi swept up to equalise and send the Burnley fans wild. Both teams were smelling victory and the game became stretched as the two sets of players searched for a late winner.
Young Argentinian striker Franco Di Santo almost claimed it in the closing stages of normal time but could only direct his shot narrowly wide of Jensen's post.
Lampard did have the ball in the back of the net in the first period of extra-time after Kalou put him through, but the England man was adjudged to be offside.
A foul on Malouda late-on saw Burnley captain Steven Caldwell receive his second booking, while both Alex and Kalou missed guilt-edged chances to win the game in the closing stages.
The sudden-death defeat means that the Blues have now lost their last five penalty shoot-outs.
