Do satellite connections block torrents????

Guyz,@ nenasala pots there r satellite connections.But unfortunately the torrent softwares doesn't work.They dont download even a bit.r they firewalled for torrents?Can we go through them?...show me the way...

torrents are get into our pc's through ports... if nanasala pots had installed hardware or software firewall it will block ports.. then u cant get torrents... try to open port in firewall... i think that it must be blocked by a firewall.

me too have two Nenasala centers !!! That's true yaaaaaaaar !!! Can't even Download a bit from Torrents !!! Torrent softwares asking a incoming port number !!! I dnt know how to give it !!! :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

The problem is the proxy server. Most bit-torrent clients don't support downloading through a proxy server. Try Azureus.

i tried azureus also !!! but it also asking a incoming port !!!! :( :( :( :( :(

Damn! I can't help further, because I haven't been in the situation before. I know a guy who got Azureus working in out Uni computer lab which is connected through a proxy server. Not sure if he'll come online today though.

mach wht u can use is http tunnel link dat anusha gave hw to do it... bt as i saw it didnt hav much detail... i used to do http-tunnelin at my campus.... its bit hard ....


first ill tell one thin, thrs a program called http-tunnel u can dwnload it here (http://www.http-tunnel.com/html/)

install it and do as it says to set up a a proxy and use bitloard and put dat proxy add and try to connect .... dis program is a demo it will only allow arnd 2KB/s dwnload rate try downloadin a torrent with lot of seeders if this wrks u have hope :D

if u hav ny trouble on gettin http-tunnel prog let me knw :yes:

whn u use http tunnel ull b able to strt ur own proxy server in ur machine... use http-tunnel user giude cos i cant explain all its damn lot :sorry:

Do you use the hardware firewall of that router? I don't know much about routers because I don't have one.

i'm not masterd in this area... bec. i dont use a adsl router at home...

but try http://www.speedguide.net/
at there u can download a soft called TCPOptimizer it will much helpful.
if u ar use a firewall. it will block unwanted ports, then u have to manually open ports that u want....

if u use windows firewall goto control panel>windows firewall>exceptions>add port

if u'er router had a hardware firewall... go to it's manufacturer site n do some search about that....
