Here are the prices of SLT IPTV

New Connection Net Rs.9950/= (Incl Taxes)
with this you get 01-STB, 01-ADSL router, Remote Control

Basic Package Rs.1000/=Monthly (Incl taxes)
which gives you 29 ch's plus 7 FTA (both local and International) ch's
The premium HBO boutique with 4 ch's cost 400/- additionally
(altogether 40 ch's now on air-till somewhere December and they will increase no of ch's)

and the Quality of the channels are perfect ( and the user is able to rewind the channel up to 7 days)

In the SLT IPTV introducing program , i asked the about this question !! They told me that they R Going give ectra 3 MB for a ADSL line !! tha means 3072 Kbps + 512 Kbps

Well as I know They have given 100 IPTV connections as the pilot project & whenever I ask them about the prices they just say "You just watch & give us the feedback until we commercially launch it!. By that time if you don't want it we'll remove the router & setup box!"

As I have DTV & IPTV both as per my comparisons IPTV picture quality is far more better. But sometimes (very seldom) you get that little stuck so you know you are watching a streaming line.

Menus are slower than DTV.

I also had a D-Link ADSL 2+ router before & they installed their own router replacing mine. Their router sucks! Sometimes you need to restart the router several times to get ADSL internet line working!:oo: :oo:


Prices

Although they don't tell us the prices I got to know about their planned billing system by one of my friends in SLT. As per the info I have they will get a subscription from you for Live TV facility & for the others they will charge you additionally. :confused: :confused: It's like you need to purchase a movie from Video on Demand to watch it! Once you have purchased a movie you can watch it several times until you particular purchase expires. They will charge you for using Time Shift TV also!
You will have the facility to get to know about your withstanding bill somewhere in the menu also!

Apoo still not enough ... Well to tell you all dnt buy anyghing ... cz i heard TATASKY OR SOME OTHER INDAIN DISH TV STATIONS IS GNG TO LAUNCH IN SL NEAR FUTURE. I MEAN WE CAN BUY AIRTEL TV, DISHTV, BIGTV.

I KNOW ONLY ABT THE DISHTV ... Pay rs 1000 something .. can get morethan 180 tv channels. But dish charge and installation charge will cost around 17000 or 20000 with 3month subscription fee :) so cool ne ... Airtel also give morethan 180 channales but Charges are around 25000 wage and the total dish cost is bit expensive .... Superb Quality ... Than SLT IP TV DIALOG TV ..

They r also giving us 4 port router neda. But if we can use our own router. it will be so damn perfect.

I also want to cancel our DTV connection and buy PEOTV. But still SLT dont hv that much channel. I also need more local channels

I am Dialog TV user and very happy with what I get for my connection because I am old user who got the Rs500 package.I dont need HBO because all files on it I have watched when they were hot. SLT is double the rent but it got some neat features which dialog doesn't have.I read somewhere that you can use hybrid system, IPTV and Satellite TV together, which offers better of both.Prying for dialog to do that please....

and free connection for adsl users..
we have to pay only the rentel..
but the thing is its still limited to location wise..
i mean only some places can enjoy dis facility..
u can give ur number and chk it whether u can have a peo connection..

adsl 512 connection eka download speed 80 yanavalu..
u knw one thing..u can connect that peo tv connection...to use internet 3.5mbps..:P :P
