Best antivirus software overall.
According to the most recent reviews, Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 tops both Norton AntiVirus 2007 and McAfee VirusScan Plus 2007. Kaspersky is fast and light -- meaning it won't slow down your computer as much as the class leaders. Reviews say system drag is a particular problem with Norton and McAfee. Kaspersky passes virus-scanning tests at all major testing labs, and according to some critics, it is better at catching new threats. As with all antivirus software, users report some trouble with software conflicts, but overall, we found far fewer complaints for Kaspersky than for other antivirus programs.
