The combination of cardio and ab work keeps the workout interesting, keeps metabolism high all throughout and prevents "muscle memory" from developing. Jillian designs her workouts for all levels and you can always add more weight (dumb-bells) to make most of the poses even harder. This workout is one that can "grow" with you. Jillian's words of encouragement make viewers want to push harder and reach further -- even long after the workout is over. You will get your time's worth out of every minute of this workout.
.... Jillian... does admit that some of her moves require lots of coordination and will take many days of practice to fully master.... The first time I finished this workout I was very dissapointed. I hadn't even broken a sweat and was convinced that I had wasted my money on this DVD.... Round 3 and 4 I realized that I had been doing all of the poses/exercises incorrectly. As Jillian stresses in the video, abs are about control, awareness, and the minute detail of each exercise. If you are not very aware of your body doing these exercises (or consider yourself an uncoordinated person, admittedly I am) you may end up missing out on this workout's high intensity.”
