Thats cuz the area u live dont have HSDPA capability..sorry.com.its connecting using 3G now

I think u dont have 3G Signal at Home :D , so its connecting trough GPRS or EDGE :D

I live literally 5km from Melbourne city my HSPA speed is only 1.5Mbps:confused:

afaik, no one provides 7.2 (HSPA) in Sri Lanka It seems you dont know much.:P :D THe WCDMA modem that dialog give has the ability to connect from GPRS or 3G. 7.2MBps can be reached(Ive done it just yesterday).You only need a strong 3G signal :D

:yes: :yes: They automatically limits the speed when you exceed your monthly volume I think...FUP is lifted.So I dont think the bandwidth is limited.Besides when you pay 3500 and connection is named unlimited it would defeat the point unlimited :P

FUP is lifted.So I dont think the bandwidth is limited.Besides when you pay 3500 and connection is named unlimited it would defeat the point unlimited :P

I asked from them & told no 7.2 (or 14.4) yet & still providing 3.6Mb :rofl:

them might have capabilities for 14.4 & they use it to cheat people :lol:

Machan Umba connection type eka 3G Only daala nathuwa ethi...

There are four options...
GPRS Preferred, 3G Preferred, 3G Only. GPRS Only... Select 3G Only...

Modem automatically switches from 3G-UMTS to GSM when the signal level (RX Level: below -100dB) is weak... Select 3G only which prevents automatic swiching from 3G to GSM... Do not worry about tech details...

Read the manual.. It says how you can identify the currently selected connection type... by the indicator light..

Even though you have a mobile phone and a 3G coverage in your area this scenario happens, because within the house the signal strength becomes lower..
(automatically changes to GSM when dual mode is enabled)
