I am recently interested in Sri Lankan history, ie. the history before Vijaya's arrival to Sri Lanka.
Probably there are Elakirians here who know a lot about this and can give reference to it, or post information here.
I'm a noob about the history before Vijaya's arrival.
So as far as I know, from the Mahabaratha, we know that there was a king in Lanka( Ravanna??) who had a dispute with a king in india. How did this happen? Is it because King of Lanka kidnapped the beautiful princess?? Sita of India?
How much of the tales in Mahabarata is taken to be true??
