here r the shortcuts for hearing pdf files in abobe reader 6.0 or higher

ctrl+shift+b ---->to hear the whole topic
ctrl+shift+v ---->to hear the page

its working
if u have adobe reader 9
Press ------> CTRL+SHIFT+Y (View>Readout loud>Activate Read out Loud)
and select the paragraph that you want to read.

(If this method also not worked. configure control panel>Speech>Text to Speech TAB)
