Susanthika Jayasinghe has reclaimed a place among the best 50 performers in the 200m dash following her recent success at the Asian Games in Doha, Qatar. She has moved up 31 places to occupy the 52nd position in the shorter sprint, according to the latest IAAF World Rankings.
Jayasinghe, who managed only a bronze in 200m dash, is now placed at 37th place, the first time in many years that the star-sprinter managed a place among the best 50 athletes.
Jayasinghe, battled out a viral flu to won silver in the women’s 100m dash and bronze in the 200m dash at the recent games.
