Theres nothing magic about it. Although it seems like the symol is picked in random its not.

Its just a simple case of gud mathematics.

I can't figure out how he's doing that either. We are not giving him any clue. And the answer is not the same symbol every time, but he gets it right.

its mathematics dood. check the symbols and ul c that the same symol appers on different numbers. so no matter what number you think of itl always trace back to the same symbol.

heres a way to try it out.
think of 2 numbers (or 3) at the same time and do it. itl always point to the same symbol

Now I get it. It changes the symbols in each run. That's why I said it doesn't give the same symbol everytime.

The answer it always a number that is a multiple of 9 (eg: 9,18,27,36...99), because say, XX- (X+X) is always divided by 9. Check those numbers, and you'll see all of them has the same symbo.

If it's wrong, then it's because you can't do the simple math it asks you to do :angry: :angry:

Here's the proof.

Say the number you imagined was XY (i.e. if X=4 and Y=3, XY=43).
But if you write it mathematically, it's X*10+Y (in the previous example, 4*10+3 = 43, see?)
Now it asks you to add the two digits ==> (X+Y)
Now let's substract it from X*10+Y==>

X * 10 + Y - (X + Y)
=X * 10 + Y - X - Y
=X * 9 ==> is always a multiple of 9.

The answer is always a multiple of 9.

Now you get it?
