Sri Lanka Army has announced a two week grace period for the deserters to rejoin the Army.
Army states that the persons who report to the respective units will not be punished. However, the mass arrests of Army deserters will be commenced after the grace period expired from November 15 and the offenders will be produced before court martial.
The arrested deserters who are pending court martial also can discuss rejoining with respective authorities.
