There is much to look forward to in Subhash Ghai's Yuvvraaj, starring Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. But the surprise package is none other than Aushima Shawhney, a relative newcomer in the industry. Delhi-born Aushima has done bit roles in Pooja Bhatt's Dhoka and Rohit Jugraj's Superstar earlier, and was one of the 10 finalists in the Miss India beauty pageant 2005.
She talks to Nithya Ramani about being Ghai's latest discovery, and making it big in Bollywood.

Tell us about yourself.
My father works for the United Nations, so we had to shift to Bangkok. I always had the passion for acting. I would dress up, and act for my family.
When I told my parents that I wanted to study acting, they objected. But my passion for acting kept me going and I started modelling. I participated in the Miss India beauty pageant, and was one of the 10 finalists. Then, I shifted to Mumbai to make a career in Bollywood.
My family gave me a deadline to get a break in Bollywood, or move back to Bangkok and get married. I worked really hard and managed to land Atif Aslam's Doorie remix.
Then Dhoka and Superstar happened. Unfortunately, both films did not do well at the box office. I feel I'm being launched every time I do a film. I thought Superstar was good and deserved a better response.
