What are your reasons for choosing one over the other?

I'm using a CRT monitor, because the price of a good LCD monitor is almost about three times the price of a CRT. And too bad, that's my only reason. I would definitely buy an LCD when/if this CRT burns someday. Can't wait for that day to come! :D

I'm also using a CRT, if you ask me why?..... cuz LCD is expensive... but things have changed here within the past 6 weeks or so... LCD has gone down from about Rs.3000/= so I'm waiting maybe until April and definitely gonna buy one!

Another thing... last year (mmm.... in May I think) one of my friend bought 19" Sony LCD... so expensive @ that time (I think around 50k in SL money or more..), personally I thought she (its a she) is crazy spending 50k for a LCD (cuz all she does is surfing net and bit of VB... anyway who cares.. rich people!!!) so.. the thing started giving trouble after one week... and by the next week it's gone for good!!

I was amazed  such an expensive piece of equipment....!!!

Anyway now she is using Viewsonic.. No trouble so far!!! So what I wanna say is you may never know how it'll work out!! ha..ha..:) :)

It was like a set? Cause I bought mine in Korea! And in Korea, you can't buy CRTs anywhere now! Even tha supermarket uses LCDs and stuff

poor vs rich

In the long term, CRTs will be more expensive:
1. Electricity bill
2. Payments to eye-specialists :D
