Me? Never! Diskeeper 2007 does the job for me automaticaly. Since I leave my PC on every night long, it does the defragmenting job every night. I don't have to worry about it anymore.

Looks like nobody defrags their hard drives! :(

Im gonna DL "Diskeeper 2007" now!

Vista's defragmenter sucks! I saw a screenshot somewhere showing that when the hard drive, which was defragged using Vista's inbuilt defragger, was analysed using Diskeeper, there were red areas everywhere. red areas means low performing areas due to fragmentation. What's funny is that the Windows' defragger is provided by Diskeeper themselves.

Damn! Just forgot to mention one problem with Diskeeper 2007. It;s not compatible with Cista. But I found hacked version that works under Vista. try googling it, because I don't have the download link to that.

Don't you think, it makes you more silly, to actually reply to them if you think they are silly?

Diskeeper's i-FAAST is so cool. It monitors your drives for file accesses, and arranges the files so that frequenty accessed files are in the front. Because of this, I no longer has t separate data files and games using separate partitions.

Well, see how many people will download Diskeeper after this thread. (no, I'm not working for them ) It's not silly. It's sillier not to try to maximize the performance of what u already have. You don't have to manually do it. Besides, if you defrag frequently, the next pass will be much quicker, even if you do that manually.

;) I was crazy about PerfectDisk 7 but it was not as effective and fast as Diskeeper. Sure, it does defrag better than Diskeeper, but it doesn't have a feature as i-FAAST to improve the performance.
