A primatologist observes the growing attraction between his young wife and his research assistant. The similarities between his research subject : behavior of monkeys , and the erotic relationships between humans become the focal point of his interests.
Dr. Gerard, the elderly primatologist, is a quintessential patriarchal male who believes that a woman should be limited to a domestic role.
