I found this from a website (http://forums.amd.com/index.php?showtopic=55881). Very interesting article. (but didn't finish reading the whole thing).

that explains why i didnt had to tweak rams in ma AMD.thank god that they have built in memory controller..
Actually it changes.for e.g.:-
Socket 939 AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 200MHz Rev E6
OCed to 2500MHz a 500 MHz boost
DDR = 400-->500
PCI -e= 1000-->1250
other ram timings changed well.
I just turned Base clock 200MHz[default] to 250 MHz.
As referred I can still change the PCI-e frequency if I want to a higher clock..

How does it explain your overclock? :confused:
PCI-E runs at 100MHz by default (not 1000MHz) :rolleyes:

my fault.. It should Be HT link..I'll correct that..
PCI-e is 100MHz still..I dont wanna change that....Even now I,m running stock..

I just gave my example to the folks here..I dont want any argues on that..
