The evil Decepticons are back - and this time they're after Sam Witwicky.
The highly anticipated sequel to Transformers was shot on location at the Egyptian pyramids, where American military personnel - and equipment - were hired for the 'biggest joint military operation movie ever made'.
Sam, played by Shia LaBeouf, is set to hit screens again this summer in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
Megan Fox, who plays Sam's girlfriend, also returns as Mikaela Banes.
The film, directed by Michael Bay, sees Sam, the human caught in the war between Autobots and Decepticons, learn the secret of the origin of Transformers and their history on Earth.
The Decepticons, desperate for the information, wage war to capture him and the climactic battle scene takes place at the Giza pyramid complex in Egypt, where film crew were granted access to the 5,000-year-old site for the first time ever.

Egyptian hieroglyphics resembling helicopters in real life were also used, where they will be explained in the film as being depictions of those ancient Cybertronians who visited Earth.
The film’s Army liaison, Lt. Col. Gregory Bishop, said: 'As far as I know, this is the biggest joint military operation movie ever made, in terms of Army, Air Force, Navy and Marines. I can’t think of one that’s bigger.'

Director Bay said: 'In the sequel, humanity is still trying to sort out which Transformers can be trusted and which mean to exterminate humans. Authentic military personnel were hired to show just how they might actually handle an over-the-top situation like an alien robot invasion.'
'The Pentagon gave its stamp of approval to the film and allowed production amid the dunes of the Army's New Mexico missile range.

'They let us do the run of things, we have so many military assets. Plus, this is a missile range — we can just fire into the set. It's a great place.'
Among the equipment used in the movie in the desert sequence alone were two A-10 Thunderbolt II 'Warthog' tank-killing jets, six F-16 Fighting Falcons, 10 armored Humvees, the Army’s Golden Knights parachute team; two Abrams tanks, two Bradley tanks, two missile-launcher vehicles, two armoured personnel carriers; and a quarter-mile of the missile testing range, cleared of unexploded ordnance and built into an Egyptian town and temple.

A usually slender Fox revealed she had to gain ten pounds within three weeks for the action-packed role.
She said: 'Michael Bay doesn't like skinny girls.'
But she wasn't the only one who had to undergo a gruelling regime during filming.
LaBeouf injured his eye when he hit a prop, which required seven stitches.
He was also involved in a car crash, which delayed production and his subsequent hand injury had to be written into the script.
