Hmm mama nam danne na me gana.. Coz i played it wayyyyy back.. but didnt get any issue but if ur tellin
we cant get out of the car like in GTA its true.. car eka duwana kota eeken paninna ba aniwa Stop karannama Oona ( not like in GTA )

I also had that problem when I played it... It's caused by the crack...try a crack or image from this site http://m0001.gamecopyworld.com/games/pc_godfather.shtml ......

It worked for me...
