i wanted to get dialog hsdpa but their coverage sucks in dehiwala (karagampitiya) 3g signal drops every 2 mins mostly no coverage at all.. but airtel 3.5g is full even indoors. price wise no other carrier can match airtel. how come airtel managed to cover our area within such a short time frame where dialog couldn't cover even after so many years

but it has FUP (Fair Usage Policy) is a limit by ISP to save their bandwidth, For example if you use high data volume, you're speed will be limited.

can you prove it ? i asked about the fup while subscribing but they told there isn't any such policies. so it's truly unlimited without restrictions

i downloaded 10 GB + within couple of hours using internet download manager. avg speed is 330kb while maximum is at 400 Kb/sec

I am talking about the technical limitations bro. ADSL is a wired line technology and you can increase the quality of bandwidth only from main backbone. But wireless technologies have its limitations.

But as Airtel gives unlimited bandwidth connections to cheap prices. Userbase per tower will grow massively. That has happened in some areas of US when lot of ppl bought iphone 3Gs.

India still don't have 3.5G from Airtel. They only have EDGE on GSM.(2G) And you talking about their normal broadband plans.

And check the speeds and prices too. Indian broadband prices are very high compared to Airtel in srilanka.

yes machan.. i noticed a lag in kolpity branch but they are sharing a single 3.2mbps hsdpa connection among 10-12 laptops so it's kind of acceptable considering the no of users.

My speed test results are,
upload speed:0.52 kbps
download speed:1.96 kbps
It has the best & accurate results for my internet speed test!!!!
