Civilians protest against LTTE- Serunuwara

Hundreds of Civilians of all ethnicities gathered at Kallar junction today (Tuesday 25th of July), staged a massive protest against the arbitrary closure of sluice gates of the Mahavilaru -Irrigational anicut by the LTTE. According to the Media center for National security Sluice gats has been forcibly kept closed by the LTTE since Thursday (20th of July) Morning. The closure has denied the water supply for several thousands of civilians in SERUNUWARA, MUTTUR, UYLANKULAM, VILANPATTU, KILIWEDDY, KALLAR, DEHIWATTA, SELVANAGAR and NEELAPOLA areas for both domestic and agricultural purposes. Further, it has been reported that over 10000 acres of paddy will be ruined unless the water supply restored immediately.

The civilians of all ethnicities gathered at the protest expressed their utter contempt over the LTTE's shameful tactics for harassing civilians.

I agree with you, but LTTE says that they r fighting to take tamils liability and LTTE says their responsibility to do that. If LTTE kills the tamils the others can know that they r not doing the thing that they r talking. U can say that still they r doing that.

If LTTE kills innocent people non-stoply, tamils won't help them feather. they don't need to loose their lives to help terrorist. :yes:
