I have a computer consist of
Intel Pentium Dual Core E2180
Gigabyte GA-G31M-S2L
Those two are borrowed
So I need a new mobo and a CPU
I got Asus Nvidia 9800GT 1GB PCIe Video card
2GB A-Data 800 MT/s DDR2 x 2 (4 GB)
160 GB HDD/ Asus DVD-RW/ Samsung Combo
Amacrox 500W PSU
So I’m considering Foxconn P43A which is Rs.9300
Or Foxconn G31MX-K 2.0 which is Rs.5300
I need a good over clocker, my current mobo has liner FSB:RAM ratio, so I’m stuck @ 3.GHz max
My Questions are has G31MX-K 2.0 Fix FSB:RAM ratio
I know P43A does not have fixed FSB:RAM ratio
and P43A has 4 phase current , while G31MX-K got three
dose any one own a P43A, if so HOWS OVERCLOCKING??
Please replay before Saturday
thankxx
i'll upgrade CPU later,, mm i'm new here
i'm a computer hardware instructor @ NAITA, Serious one with lot of experience, not a lame 7 day course one, i'm glade to help when i can.

Well.. I'm not aware of that P43 mobo which is available at barclays, you may checkout some reviews. I'm having a Foxconn G33M mobo, FSB:RAM ratio can be changed by changing RAM speed (1:1,5:6).
FSB 400 - No sweat, With a bit of tweaking can be taken to 425. This is with an 8X multi (E6750), so you won't be having any difficulties with the E2180. Anyway the Foxconn P43 mobo seems too cheap for the features it offer.. read several reviews before buying it.. :)

I'm using foxconn mars.which has can adjust FSB:RAM.and it has P35 chip set.
that Foxconn P43A has p43 chip set which is newer.if i were u i'll get that and also
if u a re into overclocking always go with the board which has more power phases for da cpu.( always worked for)

G33M is old.. I bought it from Barclays like 1 year back..cost me like 10K, I heard that G33M is available @ Barclays again.. that's why I posted about it.. :)

mmm.. ok
G31 Chip set has crazy stuff related to RAM, and it only support up to 4GB, and PCIe 1.0
P43 got PCIe 2.0 and over 8GB memory support, so i'm considering Foxconn P43A,
if u guys got a better choice around Rs.10K please post
thankx

Don't Buy Foxconn Machan. They Are So Cheap. Get ASUS.

Right now EPSI dose not have any mobo in 10k price segment, and they wont be near future.. LGA775 platform is a dying one so i do not like to spend more than 10k, also asus is good for mobo only when more than 17k

I guess P35s are better in OCing over P45s.But P45s come with ICH10R.If not for serious OCing I think you can grab a P45 just over 10k.A gigabyte one will be great ,foxconn too.ASUS is as always priced with additional stuff and or factory OCed.

try a 500Gb HDD and go for ASUS mobos........
if ya planning the CPU later...........just chk for a mobo which supports future quads and duals.........coz it will be needed...

BS!
Get that P43a. I think you are buying a CPU as well? To be safe, buy something with a high multiplier. If quad core, go for Q6600, or if dual core go for E7300/7400. I don't think it will have a problem reaching FSB400. That's pretty much all you'll need to overclock to a good final clock.

mmm, I'M NOT READY TO SPEND MORE THAN 10K FOR A ALREADY DEAD PLATFORM, i'm Not buying a CPU i'll Keep My E2200, I Think Spend More Money on Core i5 is give more long run.
mmm thankx for the p5wdh was a great mobo, but those things eate more Power, I do not need extra stuff it has, Intel Always Fabricate theire chipsets using their outdated Fabrications, Now they got 45nm CPUs but chipsets use 65nm, 975, and P35 use 90 nm,
well thankx againg for sharing

i think LGA 775 is gonna be here for some time coz still going for da new Intel platform is still very expensive and also ddr3 prices are also still high.if u can buy like a good quad,u can oc it and use it for some time with out a problem u can get cheap foxconn mobo and get a good cpu(Quad or more)that's ma advice for u
also think about going for good amd motherboard coz those new phenome ii cpus(u can upgrade later)are supported for their old platform

i'd love to have AMD platform,
Dose anyone got a P35 mobo for a sale
