From here: http://www.dailytech.com/article.aspx?newsid=5869

And here: http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=37240

It appears that the Conroe successor will have:

1. More L2 cache
2. Higher clock speeds (20%) (introduced at 3.0Ghz plus)
3. Much Much Much lower leakage (idle power consumption)
4. SSE4
5. The return of HyperThreading.

The battle is heating up for H2 2007.

I wonder if Hyperthreading is necessary because of the higher clock speeds than Conroe CPUs.
