god ppl making their own casings?? im fine with my black unbranded casing.. im jus haapy with my configuration heheh that will do for now... but i am interested in gettin some silent fans.. my bros comp has silent fans and its pretty awesome.. he has a killer vga card as welll ahhhh.... sadly i jus have a g force 2 64 mb.....

Wait.... zCexVe had bought a transparent sheet.... u cant buy it in small parts(large sheet about 3000rs) then u have to cut a hole in side of your current casing n paint it down.....

Every one connected to mobo is automatically controlled.PSU the same.The rest r with home made fan controllers.
NB has a 5000RPM one.I just saw it 2day when checkin BIOS.It was @ that time around 4100rpm.
so it goes 5000x4
CPU fan
VGA fan
2500~3000x2

In my case, I dont want to waste my time and money on smthing useless, already am wasting sometime here and am not much skilled with drills, hammers, tools ...etc :( But I fancy a cool casing, So am gonna put a lighted fan + a net as grill, by removing 2 floppy drive slot covers on my pc and that's it, no more! :yes:

Still, I don't understand how you can live with all that noise. Maybe you have gotten used to the noise.

For me, the standard always goes high, every month. When I had the old PC, I had 2 case fans at first. It wasn't that bad. After a while, I couldn't bare it. I could hear the PC running from about 7-8 meters away. So, I removed one fan. It got a bit better, but after a while, I still could hear the damn thing from 7-8 meters away. Then I removed another fan, and used 7V on the only other case fan available. It lowered the noise a lot. But still, after a while, I felt it was still irritating, mainly when I left the PC on while going to bed. (I didn't have ADSL those days, but I encoded a lot of DVDs at night). Anyway, the components inside the PC were getting toasted as there were not much cooling happening. But I couldn't tolerate the damn noise.

Anyway, now with this new PC, I was amazed how quite it was. Since things were running cool inside, I changed the case fan's voltage to 7V, and it reduced the noise further. I even couldn't believe how silent the video card's fan was, compared to the 9700Pro I had couple of years ago. But, now I'm again feeling it is not as quiet as it was last month. Now I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the ear. :)

Unless I move to a 100% passive cooled system, I will never feel the PC is "quiet". :yes:

Besides, with the arrangement of the computer table, there is no point having a side window. You still won't see anything.

These case mods came as means of showing off at LAN parties. I have never gone to a LAN party, even just for a peep in. So I don't have to modify to show off my case to anyone.

If you have all the things you need for your PC, then you can spend some $$$ on modifications. I have yet to buy more stuff. It makes me happier to use a faster PC rather than a nicer PC. By this I don't mean that I wouldn't mind something that looks like garbage. A decent and simple look would do.

More lights means more heat as well. And to get that heat out, again you add fans. Again, that adds noise and a higher power draw from the PSU, and again, more heat. It's a whole lot better not to use those lights in the first place.

My first thought was that.But there is no space for them in my PC.And LEDs come with advantages like cheaper, more light frm them need less power,can litup each place can be wired..U cant find a 5V neon here.Car neons only.

Hey guys this connecting LCD thig is very easy than u think.

U only need...
16*2 Character LCD or bigger ( 850/= ) ( Backlight colours > Green, Yellow, Cool Blue, White )

And some wires to connect that lcd to ur PC.

Hey dude what do u mwan by Display Units? When u buy a LCD u must buy a compatible Driver Circuit also.
