guys.......anyone know how to synchronize ".srt" type subtitle files. I downloaded subtitles for a hindi movie but it is not working. Power DVD doesn't play it:( :( :( Do you guys know how to play those .srt type subtitles:D

u need vobsub..... or you can install klmcodec pack with classic media player it will install vobsub with it

u mean k-lite codec pack........I already have it. It has something called vobsub strip.....but it requires a .idx input file not .srt:( :(

aiyo den its simple
change ur .srt file name to same as movie file name .... and keep both in same folder...
ex:
abcd.avi
abcd.srt

ya I have it like that..........but all players I have( media player classic, Divx player, power DVD,..ect) doesn't play the subtitles:( :( :(

is da new codec pack ur usin .... othr thin u can do is install vlcplayer and tryout.. it givs option to select a subtitle file

ya latest codec pack macho..............tried out everything even vlc player.........nothing plays .srt files:( :( :(

I have another movie with two subtitle files .idx and .sub ............that thing works in power DVD:D
Do u know a way to convert this .srt file into .idx and .sub:D

Hey buddy did u try to play ur movie with BS palyer.. it comes with k-lite codec pack (whn u install u can choose it)
u can load .srt files in BS Player for subtiles ;)

WMP should play them normally, if you have vobsub installed.
Cyberlink says PowerDVD 7 supports SRT. (here (http://www.cyberlink.com/english/products/powerdvd/7/features.jsp))

but both the players doesn't play:( :( :( I have vobsub installed and also I have power DVD 7.2 Ultra........only BS player plays .srt format:( :(

Oh SRT da? I got confused it with .sub (and .idx). Not sure if WMP can play them. But WMP can play .sub (.idx).
