Huawei E220 HSDPA modem !!

hay guys, where can i get Huawei E220 modem? When I call dialog/mobitel they say it's out of stock !

If I'm buying it from 3'rd party person what things do i have to look? are there any defect modems(as a result of unlocking) in the market which i have to be careful ?

If it's unlocked can I use it for both Airtel and Mobitel sims on daily basis ?

and the last question, will Mobitel give only the data sim ??

the E220 modem should be available in local PC shops. try those. Else check with someone going to SG or Malasia. The unit is widely available in those countries.

Yp unlock kara kiyala modem eke aulk wenne naha.Unlock karoth ona network ekak use karanna puluwan.If u hv a cmpus ID u can buy a modem for Rs 5490 4m dialog.Unlock karana widiya tiyana link ekak tiyanawa.Very easy.if u want I can gv u a site.

after unlock, setup APN (access point name) for GPRS or HSDPA connection according to the carrier on the GUI of the huwaei modem (can be downloaded from huwaei official site)

Im not sure about local PC shops, but u can buy good one from eBay. ;)

AFAIK Unlocking will not make any defects to the modem. but there are many certain things.. like bad firmware upgrades will cause modem not to work properly.

If modem is unlocked you can use it with any mobile broadband provider world wide. so don't worry about it.

Yes mobitel will only give you USIM. if u want to buy modem you have to pay for that seperately.
