As promised, Nvidia has followed up Tuesday's ForceWare 100.54 Vista driver release with a new set of ForceWare drivers that finally brings supports for SLI multi-GPU configurations to Microsoft's new operating system. The drivers are numbered 100.59, and like the previous version, they're available for both 32-bit (http://www.nvidia.com/object/winvista_x86_100.59.html) and 64-bit (http://www.nvidia.com/object/winvista_x64_100.59.html) flavors of Windows Vista.
Just like Nvidia said earlier this week, the new drivers only add SLI support for GeForce 8800 graphics cards. The company says it will implement SLI support for its GeForce 6- and GeForce 7-series cards at a future date. Asbefore, these drivers are still very much in beta. A number of features are still either missing, like Nvidia's nView desktop manager, or not yet fully implemented, like support for HDMI video output.
