1GHz CPU
512MB RAM
128MB DirectX9 supported video card
15GB Hard drive
DVD ROM

But to run it very smoothly, you'll need a Pentium4 2.8GHz+, 256MB video card, 1GB RAM, and loads of disk capacity.

Surely you can... but there will be some problem... if you going to use Aero theme...

You will not be able to use the cool Aero Glass theme. Without it, Vista will look more like XP.
However, if you play games, you need 1GB of RAM.

Aero theme is only Memory eating feature of Vista... but I like it...

Not really. It eats Video Memory, but not much System Memory. However, you have to have a System Rating about 2.0 to have Aero Glass theme working. (not sure about the exact score, but that's about it)

But he already has 512MB ne? So another 512MB would do. And, newer motherboards allow you to run dual channel with 512MB and 1GB as well, but only the first 1GB (i.e. 512MB + first 512MB of 1GB) will run in dual channel.

In November, 512MB DDR400 was Rs.6,500. But it should be around Rs.5,000-5,500 now. Just speculation OK. I didn't ask the price of them.

Can't be that expensive. I bought a 1GB DDR2-667 for Rs.13,500 in the end of December. DDR2-533 should be cheaper. DDR400 might be cheaper than that too.

i have a P4 3.06 Ghz 512 ram.. but my vga is a geforcce 2 64 mb... my mother board has an onboard 64mb card tooo.. no way to use both together eh>???
