Is it more exciting to see a concept car you designed built as a full-scale model or driven in an Xbox 360 video game? One talented person will find out soon.

The 10 finalists for the Peugeot Design Contest 2007 have been announced. The winner, to be named at the end of February, will get to see a full-scale model of the car built by Peugeot and debuted at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show in September. Microsoft will also make the winning car a "drivable" car for one of its Xbox 360 video games.

Gustavo Ferrero of Venezuela is one of the few finalists with an off-road vehicle, the Allscape, depicted here in an outdoor setting.

Although Peugeot pulled out of the U.S. market in 1991 due to poor sales, it still sells cars in the Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. The contest was entered by amateur car designers from all over the world, as the list of finalists reflects. This one is The Cub, from Ka Dan of China.

The Liion by Christian Sano of Romania offers both a clever-looking car and a clever name. Many of the entry names, like the Cub, Liion and Miawoo, play off Peugeot's signature lion coat-of-arms.

While the 910 by Ertug Yenýdemýr strongly resembles a certain signature car from a German car manufacturer, the gullwing doors and glass roof give it an original touch.

The Peugeot Flux by Mihai Panaitescu of Italy looks like something the fictional Aeon Flux herself might drive around in. The video game Aeon Flux just happens to be available for the Xbox, so this car might fit right in the next version.

The Plaire is by James Ma, the only contestant from the United States to make it into the top 10.

The Speedlite is a joint entry by car design students Nemanja Lalcic and M. Krzanowski of Turin, Italy.

The Peugeot e-Motion by Dario Gagula is meant to be a "sporty looking car powered by electricity," according to the designer's concept description.
