Help needed urgently!! - Windows XP pirate copy problem

hey guyz im new to elakiri, and i have got a small problem, I need the help of you all immediately

i bought a new pc last month, its a p4 - 3.2 gig processor, 1 gb ram, .....
i installed XP - evrything worked fine until 2 days back when i started getting the following message

"This copy of windows is not genuine and is not eligible to recieve full range of upgrades and product support from microsoft. You may be a victim of software counterfeiting. Click " Get Genuine" now to get more information and resolve this issue"

and in this message i get 2 buttons
1. Get genuine
2. Resolve later

what i have been for the past 2 days is to click "Resolve later" and run Xp

do you guys know to solve this problem

Any help given would be highly appreciated

and whether its secure to install that update
and whether i will get to upgrade the necessary upgrades
