I have used an old version, and my thoughts were that it was too bossy and extreme, and also slow.

don't use such virus scanners.. just try norton or mcafee... i have no idea baout bitdefender

That's one of the worst advices a person can give!!! Norton or McAfee? You're better of not having any virus guard at all, rather than having them on your PC.

They are not good! They have low detection rates and makes the PC crawl because they are so bloated! However, Symantec AV is a whole lot better than Norton and McAfee.

I have used BitDefender early time. It is really good Virus Guard... It is easy to use.. and update.. but it use more memory... other thing is you must block its internet access using a Firewall if you going to use crack version otherwise it will automatically send its registration data and check validity.. because of of that now i use NOD32..
NOTE : KIS is Better than BitDefender
