gist of it is the cool boy in college falls for the nerd girl only to find that the nerd girl is terminally ill. They court, they marry, she dies, he lives.
Cant figure out why people are going coo coo over this movie like if it were the biggest thing since sliced bread.

Did some research on this movie. It seems its a remake of the 1962 hollywood movie "The Miracle Worker".
Both movies tell the story of Helen Keller. The first deafblind person to get a BA degree. Both movies were adapted from her autobiography.
Oh, I dont meant to take any credit away from "Black". By all accounts, its a brilliant movie.
