SLT Accelerated Dial up 1250

i've been trying to connect to the interne via 1250. the accelarted slt dialup number. but it's not working .... do you dialup guys experiance this as well or is it just me:angry: :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry:

I'm usin' LankaBELL CDMA...

No connecting prob...

only problem is speed...

Where do you live? When I had dialup, I used to use 2383838. It was the fastest for me. I could download 20MB in 1 hour.

ya.. 2383838 is fast. maximum speed to me was 6 KBs

1250 is the normal dialup number if you access from a SLT phone. Others should dial (011) 2474747 / (011) 2383838 / (011) 2331130

Accelarated internet number is 1255

But it'll charge more machan. SLT has reduce internet call rates for those 4 digit numbers like 1250 etc.. those 2474747, 2383838 has normal call rate.

4 digit numbers has half call rate so lot of saving if you in SLT phone :yes:

When I'm havind Net with SLTnet, there weren't any 4 Digit number 4 internet...
(mmm... there were 3 digit no as I remember)

anyway, I didn't use SLTNet. I used to connect to net with other Cards like

We changed our SLT phone...
now there is a SLT CityLink CDMA...
ADSL can't be taken with CDMAs...

Yes I know. But for me, speed mattered. And I only went online after 9. So that's not a big deal.

But you can only connect from Colombo number ne? What choice do you have then?

Those days 150 or now 1250 connects to the same server which connects to 0112474747 so the same speed but high charge. But 0112383838 connects to a different sever. And there is a 4 digit number to connect to that too.
Like in 2005 there was a difference in speed for 0112383838 but i don't see that now. 1250 has good speed too. I connect at 54.6Kbps almost 99% time and good download and upload speeds. Most of the time better browsing speed than ADSL too.
