Not sure but I think that in the corner of your browser there should be a symbol like this

What is the site ? If the company is well known then i guess it is ok. But I don’t recommend using credit card on small sites. Use Paypal if possible.

if it is paypal it is ok,or else inform your bank before making the transaction
