Machan I study computer science at the university, I know ur problem. From where did you buy it? It has a serial lock inside which actually prevents you from writing anything to it. Only it's manufacturer can break it. Take ur reciepts and visit the place u bought it. If evetything goes wrong they will gve u a refund. Don't worry it's nothing that you did made your pen to come to this state.

If the flash drive is detected:
* Either there is a small switch that you have to turn ON to disable write protection OR
* Try another port

If the flash drive is not detected:
* Restart the PC and plug it in when you are at the desktop (assuming Windows XP) OR
* Try another port

* If none of these works, then try on another PC to make sure the problem is not in your PC
* If it still doesn't work, say "bye bye" to it

P.S.
I assume you have NTFS permissions to write to the drive.
