ela ela.. your idea is good.. but WalBada think like this.. most of ppl in Elakiri are Downloading the stuff .. and they getting that for free.. coz we are giving those for free. but no one have value for that.. but if we do it for money then.. you know what will happen ( Nikan Dena De agayak nae ne)..

and yes .. we have to Respect the Artist and the Record label.. its a must in Elakiri. we never help the illegal materials in Elakiri..

I am talking your complaints in to account, so we’ll take one by one..

1.The debate over chat room/forum idea. Well I don’t think it should be something like NASA tech talk or MSDN this is not a specific subjected forum, this is more in to relaxed open conversation in your leisure time. That’s why we are having different categories to different subjects. So when you take “Elakiri Talk!” I am not expecting my members to post like articles and make this like a tech log or a blog. You can’t just find any popular forum without relaxed posting; we just can’t force people to do it like that. They should have the freedom to post what they like in their own way. These days I am not seeing any posts like chat room type, I mean some one telling something and others say only word “so” or “ithin” and make a post. I can’t see such stuff. So what are the chat room posts you are talking about? Machan the main thing is I don’t care what is the definition people have given to forums and chat rooms it’s the technology we are using to our own requirements. So if you really wanna see kinda tech article type forum we’ll gonna add Article section in Beta 3 so you can post like that. But I haven’t seen any popular entertainment/leisure forum in the world which strictly sticks in to such structure.


2.Well I completely disagree with your comment admins are always with M.Entertaintment! M Entertainment just another record company for me, since they don’t want to see their records online we don’t post them in our sites. They are directly taking legal actions for sites which distribute their records.
And I can’t see any way of taking action against it because they have fully legally supported that idea.
It’s that artists sell their albums to M entertainment and they get full right to sell and distribute it. So people who owns the Lyrics and Music have given the fully authority to a 3rd party company. We can’t do much about it.

I saw some post you are saying that they are remixing old songs and selling it. Well then it’s something that artists should be blamed because they are the once who making it and selling it to M Entertainment. If you hate that you easily stop that by not listening to such remixes. But what our people want is, they really like to listen to those songs but want them free. So what the point there machan? You really like to listen to them mean they have a value and those artists have done some valuable work so how to expect it free?
If you hate such remixing just don’t listen or buy them then it can be stopped.


3.On your comment admins making too much force on the members, I completely disagree with that too. Show me a place I have done something like that? We are taking all our members like brothers and sisters. Show me anyone I have treated badly. Every one I have talked say I’m cool and treating them really well. ;) :D

4.Well about the banning thing only one person I have banned because as you all know he has completely SPAM the board. I even had a thread asking should we ban him or not and all the people said to ban him. I banned him for 2 weeks but end of that he came again and posted another SPAM post as his FIRST post, so he got another month ban. If he still does that again I have to ban him forever.
About Walbada’s idea about putting them in Gon Thadiya category, I don’t think it’ll work machan. Because then they can sign-out easily and create new account within 5 seconds.

Well as walbada said it’s NOT easy to register new account and come back again and give problems. Technology is much advance now! Apart from banning even we can make some member fully mess-up on the forum without banning him. haha so anyway I don’t wanna talk more about these things. What I really want is not banning members, what I really like to see is no banned members! So we are really happy family. The friendliest srilankan community on earth. :D :D

Just stick to the topic of the thread and talk around it, not things totally out of it

Don't think members are totally stupid crap. Some are better than you, admit it. There are some who can even crack the whole vBulletin forum server for that matter. OK since you are asking for it I am publishing how to reincarnate.

1. Make a new email address
2. Change your IP in the computer. (ADSL users your IP is dynamic) use My Connections -> properties tab. Or make your friends computer your proxy.
Change it every time you log in to ElaKiri
3. Register in multiple accounts (while changing IP's)
4. Delete Cookies and temporary Internet filrs of you computer all the time you start the computer
5. Use platform neutral Opera to browse.
6. Alternate netween WinXP and Kanotix boots if you have enough technical knowledge
7. Log from different locations. Share usernames and passwords

OK All Mighty Admin, try to get around this.

I said it’s not EASY to do it haha not impossible to do it. And you are posting how to register a new account not how to hack vbulletin. Other thing he go through all this mess and wasting lot of time and create a new account. When he do something wrong I just ban him in one click! So he has to waste time and have to go through all this mess again to register a new account. Other thing I don’t wanna hide the information how to register a new account. It’s there any one who knows some web designing knows about it. So it’s not a big deal. :lol:

Other thing if you telling vBulletin can be hacked, its not easy as creating a new account for spam. haha yes it can be hacked but it’s much more secure than any other forum software. So it's not that easy task. haha even NASA can be hacked. Anything online can be reverse engineered. But the problem is it’s not that easy thing to do.

Okay let’s say some really nasty hacker came and hacked it, we have backup so it’s just time of restoring it. :D

That’s what happens in open forums as I said before this is not a subject specifies forum. This is for leisure and entertainment. We talking about anything and everything so people with all the interests come here and talk. We can’t make people post like what we want, they post it openly. Just show me one forum in the world that talking right in to the target.
You can’t find it mate. That’s the nature of humans and just take and example you are talking with your friends about BMW cars okay, so you think they will talk about it only in the conversation? As I said in the first post of this thread it’s not for all members. It’s for the person who tried to insult Lich and asked him to show his powers. I’m sorry if you got hurt from it but as I said earlier it’s for the members who trying to insult Lich.
Other things Lich is the most crucial staff member of our team and he is dedicating his whole life for the Elakiri. He is wasting his life for the elakiri without any gain. So guys he is the most valuable staff member of our elakiri team.

Making a forum is an easy thing, just download free forum software and you can host it in a free server. But making a community is not that easy.
