The Cricket World Cup 2007... the showpiece event of the cricket calander...
the cricket world cup is one of the most closely followed sporting tournaments..
being a special tournament, as known it is held one in 4 years and this year the world cup tournament is ti be held in the Caribbean... 16 participating nations .. all enter in the hopes of lifting Crickets most coveted trophy....
As we all knw SL is a close contender for the cup this year and as always the team
has all the support from sri lankans the world over...
but there is sad news.. the world cup matches can be viewed in SL only on two tv channels.. one being the local channel Rupavahini...(in this channel however we can be sure to miss most of the match and discussions dude to the news breaks etc etc) on cable tv, its sad to say only Sony Emax (DIALOG Satellite tv) will have the rights to show the matches...
therefore such a tournament with such a vast following in the country..
dont u think it will be really dissappointing to be missing important parts of the matches??
