Help needed; computer shuts downs suddenly

Hi, guys,

I need some advice for you guys regarding this problem.

My computer starts fine, but after working for about 10-15 minutes, it shouts down automatically. it cannot be restarted again for about 3-4 hours. after 3-4 hours, it can be restarted, but same thing happens.

I checked Processor cooling fan, casing fan and they are working good. Changed a power supply unit, but couldn't solve the problem. RAM is good.

Can anybody tell me about the possible fault in the machine or any suggestion to correct the problem?

yep.. fan eka processor ekata fit wela nethuwa ethi, nethnam speed eka madi ethi

What is da os?? and if it is windows Vista or 7 some times Parental controls can causes this! did u turn on parental controls? :eek:

I also suspect overheating...check the processor fan is fitted properly...put thermal paste and re-seat the processor...

seems like over hearting but you check the fan ne then change the heat sinck

It's most likely overheating as many have said above. You can monitor your CPU temp in real time using RealTemp:

i got the same problem and i replaced the cpu heatsink gel. check the cpu heat with a software. if it is so then Check the gel connecting the cooling fan and processor. replace the gel. its only RS.50...
