Unfair to whom? :D
You people are the ones who should be pleased, because bandwidth means everything to you. If the same quality (or closer) can be achieved at half the file size, isn't it revolutionary for internet applications at least?

But you know, this is still too new, and doesn't most of the times give better quality than JPG, although they said that it will offer both better quality and smaller file size at the same time. Anyway, JPG is old - as in matured. WDP has a long way to go. We'll just have to wait and see :)

Hehe. How can small companies win against such a huge company? (every company is very small compared to Microsoft) If MS can't do it, they will buy the company that can do it

I guess.

Anyways, Photoshop CS3 is going to have this :) Wonder why Microsoft aren't bringing in first, as a Windows Update - to mspaint :) It would be cool. I think they have to do this.
