My Maxtor External HDD

I bought my 250GB External HDD and accidentally deleted the software that came. Now i restored the software. but only prblem is that this external HDD does not detect this to use it as a readyboost devise. can anyone help me please:eek::eek::eek::oo:thanks in advance
