View Full Version : Stupid gym rules and regulations

:frown:Currently I’m freaking irritated with my Gym which is the Fitness Kingdom. They have come up with some stupid rules and regulations lately. They say only one workout session per day is allowed. Which means now I cannot work out 2 times a day. And the treadmills are restricted to maximum 15mts use. I do get that some kind of a cost reduction mechanism is required at every establishment these days. But this is plain stupid. Specially being a gym they should understand why people come there at the first place. They can just treat clients like people who visit a Laundromat. Ass holes!!

Now I’m forced to reschedule my workouts coz I cannot switch places all of a sudden. Which means I have to stretch my 1.5 hours session to 2 hours or add another day reducing my rest days. Which will really have a toll on my other work. I seriously cannot understand why they have to come up with such lame excuses to reduce cost. And the real funny thing is that I’m like the only person who takes Bodybuilding up the competition level from that gym and workout twice a day on selected days. And this is the support I get!!! Wow.

Sadly I have already paid that place for an year since its really convenient for me working-out there.

Thats exactly what I thought. Even you do a HIIT cario 15 mts is just not enough. And HIIT on treadmill is suicide.

Exactly my sentiment,
I get exhausted for 2 days when I had 1.5hr workout, really suprized to hear you wanna go 2 times a day (Ofcourse unless you are a professional athlete), these rules look stupid though

Machang for a normal person one session per day is fine. I do this on competition level and my schedules are quite different to what novice and intermediate body builders. Some days I do cardio in the mornings and weights on the evening. And some day I split 2 body parts in two sessions which gives me more strength and intensity. Further more my split is 7 days so to acheive that I need to have at least 2 days of 2 sessions per day.

Regarding the 15mt cardio thing for some one serious its not at all enough. At least 20-25 mts of cario per session is mandatory.

Now I see where you are coming from, so you are a PROFESSIONAL ATHLETE, go find a professional place mate.......is this Fitness Kingdom in Kottawa? or is Fitness Kingdom every where now?

Yes I agree with you bro. I workout 1.5 hours in the morning and45mts in the afternoon on selected days. And workout 5-6 days a weeks depends on my other work and schedule. My point is that they should be flexible to support my goals since I dont do this because I feel bad about how I look. I already look pretty damn good. But my goals are different. Thats to compete.

This is the one at Colombo 2. I think they must have put the same rules every where. I have already paid for an year and finding it difficult to look for another place.

Why I bought up this thread is that its pretty sad to see the support you get for people who do sports in this country.

Dont get disheartened buddy, sports dont get priority when people have other things to worry, especially individual sports, you go for your goal, if Fitness kingdom is not supportive, find someone else, team up with some one who has the same interests, if possible, find a sponsor,

Wish you Good luck for your future

Brother 2 times a day workouts are not some thing alien for Bodybuilding. All pro's does it. And some even have 3 hour 2 workouts per day. Its just how you manage your routine and rest and meals. Its simple.

Hm. 15 minutes treadmill is a joke; even if you are not a professional athlete, you have to go for 1/2 hr-45 min cardio.

Have you discussed with the management? Perhaps you should give a letter stating that you are a competition level body builder and some recommendation proof from your trainer. Ask for special permission because you have special needs. A written statement has more weight.

Since you registered at a time when rules were different, can you cancel your registration and get your money back-or at least fight over this point? (Because you have agreed to then rules.)

Also, you can hint that you will let this news to papers, which is not good for their reputation.

Matter of fact mate I have already spoken to the management and they are too stupid to hang on to their RULES like they were made by the government  These dudes have no idea of what a service, flexibility or personalization means. And I realized it just does not make any sence trying to argue with them coz you can't make fools realize chemistry :baffled:
