Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation has issued the scheduled times of the ICC Cricket Word Cup matches starting on March 13 (Tuesday). With most of the matches starting at 6.45 p.m. and ending at on the following day morning at 2.45 a.m., Sri Lanka cricket fans will keep vigil during this mega cricketing event.
But for ten matches out of the 14 Group Stage matches, the 28 Super Eight matches, the two semi-finals and the final scheduled for April 29, all matches will be shown between the above mentioned times on local TV.
Some matches will start at 7.45 p.m. and end at 3.45 a.m. the following morning. There are few matches which will not be shown live as they are coincided with the matches involving Sri Lanka and recorded versions of such matches will be shown later. A 30-minute studio discussion session will precede every live telecast.
There is time difference of nearly 10-and-half-hours when compared with the Sri Lanka time in most of the venues in the Caribbean islands.
