(Cross posting from Talk... I just realized the Talk section is more of a informal/joke section, this looks like the right place for this post)

Hello,

Heard from a friend of mine you guys might be of help. So a three part question.

Background: I am photographer on the side, and so are a few of my friends and we will be coming to Sri Lanka in a few months. Half is to vacation and half is as a photography trip around the country. We are mostly going to be doing nature and scenic photography, but model photography is also on the agenda... except we are having difficulty finding (male and female models).

1: If there are any photographers here, can you please direct us toward a modelling agency, the Internet is dry, really hoping someone here might know. Alternatively how do you find models?

2: The alternate is if you or someone you know look good (no need to be a model), isn't camera shy, and interested in having their photos taken in exotic places around the country. This will be for TFCD (Time for CD) no pay, but it will help both of us as we'll both expand our portfolios, and you will end up with exceptional photos of you.

3: Are there any photographic laws over there? After research, seems like there is strict laws in the capital due to security concerns, but what about in the Ruins and historic location? I can understand not being able to set up our equipment and models in religious places, but the old ruins?

Really appreciate it!

Admin/Mod: Can you please edit the title and remove the "Reload this Page" part. Thanks!

I feel odd when you speak taking photos of models, but I will answer to your 3rd question. as I know they do not let you to take photos in that type of places even without models. to take photos you need to be qualified with.

That's ok, no worries. Qualified as in needing permits?
Thanks.

Edit: Yes, I did find the need for permits. http://www.holidays-on-sri-lanka.com/photography-permits-in-sri-lanka.html not sure why I didn't end up with it when I searched earlier.
