At a time when everyone across the Island is focused on development and forward thinking, it seems that local Rugby is moving toward degeneration - It is with great concern and dismay that I note that Chandrashan Perera has replaced Shanaka Amarasinghe for Rugby commentating. Perera is boring, uninformed and inaccurate with no broadcast sense or game analysis, and I simply cannot understand what justifying factors brought about this change.
I believe I speak for Rugby fans everywhere when I say that I would like to see Shanaka Amarasinghe back as commentator for intelligent, accurate and lively rugby speak.
Any thoughts or enlightening information on this?
