Avast is free. Just download it from here: http://avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

Anyway, I wasn't that convinced about its updating mechanism. It updated, of course, but not as easy as NOD32.

Hey i advice you as a victim AVAST doesn't detect Script viruses. use kaspersky (if you are only an expert)

I use bit defender takes a little more resource. but it is da best u can find.
