AB0 blood grouping system
According to the AB0 blood typing system there are four different kinds of blood types: A, B, AB or 0 (null).
Blood group A
If you belong to the blood group A, you have A antigens on the surface of your red blood cells and B antibodies in your blood plasma.
Blood group B
If you belong to the blood group B, you have B antigens on the surface of your red blood cells and A antibodies in your blood plasma.
Blood group AB
If you belong to the blood group AB, you have both A and B antigens on the surface of your red blood cells and no A or B antibodies at all in your blood plasma.
Blood group 0
If you belong to the blood group 0 (null), you have neither A or B antigens on the surface of your red blood cells but you have both A and B antibodies in your blood plasma.

and wats the difference between A positive , A negative n bla bla...? mine is AB+Blood group is determined by several antigens.
A, B and i allele (antigen) system - this is responsible for A, B, AB, O groups
C, D, E antigens - this is responsible for rhesus groups +ve and negative. ccddee geno-type will be Rh negative. All others are Rh +ve.
Kell, Duffy antigens - these are minor blood groups. Expressed as Kell + or Kell negative.
For a successful blood transfusion all the above criteria should match or be compatible. Blood cross match is the term used for this test.
BTW I am O positive, with Kell and Duffy antigens positive (you have to work n a blood bank to know the latter information)

Mine is O+...
btw if u wanna know what + n - means...
Individuals either have, or do not have, the Rhesus factor (or Rh D antigen) on the surface of their red blood cells. This can be indicated with a plus (+) or minus (−) suffix after the ABO blood type (i.e. A- or O+)... (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhesus_factor)
cheers...
