That's because I was little bit stupid that time (the time that I bought it)
and I was in a hurry! coz till then I was using a P3 system wondering when to play new HD Games.:rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

And I bought this!

However this one is a Branded man! :cool: :cool: :cool: :cool: :cool: :cool: :cool:
Giving no system errors, slowdowns like the other rubish that most srilankans buy and it's a great system with great features. :yes: :yes: :yes: :yes: :yes: :yes:

And it can handle any HD game with it's new Graphics card.

You know, Tiberium Wars brings down my card to knees at 1280x960, level 3 AA (don't know which X value) and Ultra high settings. Sometimes the frame rate drops to 7-8fps!!! Not sure if this is solely due to the graphics card. Strategy games tend to eat up a lot more CPU cycles than FPS games ne.

Mine is an X800GTO. Far better than a 6600GT. Performance wise equal to a 7600GT at the current state. I can play NFS Carbon at max details at 1280x960.

(I can only play it because motion blur is not supported by my card ;) So it's not exactly highest settings on mine either. Highest settings of enabled options :yes:)

Well, when it comes to strategy games, both CPU and VGA are critical. 7800GT (stock) is a good card, but marginally better than mine (overclocked)

and every other feature without the RAMDCS
In 6600GT, you have give the effective clock speed (500x2 as in DDR)
In X800GTO, you have given the real clock speed (490)
X800GTO has almost double the memory bandwidth of a 6600GT because of double sized bus width. :lol:

ATI's naming is good. XT = Extreme. But XT in nVidia doesn't make any sense.

You won't see a performance drop. But it doesn't make much sense, because if you bought this motherboard because SLI was a feature of it, why go for ATI now? You can buy a 7900GS now and another one later (when the prices come down)

Also you have to use the best parts of other components, otherwise it will not make any sense. You have to balance out the components.

It won't!!! Intel will not lower their Extreme line CPU prices less than US$900. Even the Pentium Extreme Edition 3.73GHz still costs around that mark even if the slowest Core 2 Duo is faster than that. This is a niche market, but a highly lucrative market. They will exploit on the fact that some enthusiasts will pay anything to live with the cutting edge performance, simply which we can't do.
