Microsoft is going to stop selling WindowsXP, although the surveys show a low acceptance of the new system between the consumers.
According to a market study made by the american company “Harris Interactive”, only the 10% of the people is planning to update their OS to Vista in a near future.
All WindowsXP versions are going to be afected by this, incluiding the MCE (Media Center Edition) and the TabletPC editions.

The survey that “Harris Interactive” made, found that even when a 87% of users have heard about Vista, only the 12% of them are planning to install it.
According to the study, the 79% of the people uses WindowsXP in their PC’s.
And even when some people waited for Vista launch to buy a new PC, the 60% of the people admited that Vista didn’t influence them in their purchase plans.
