Let's start with a short introduction for those who do not know which is the theme of the game. Guerrilla is a game of third-person shooter that takes place on Mars 50 years after the events of the first title of the series. Alec Mason (which can also be unlocked in multiplayer) is the main character of Red Faction movement in the fight for freedom.
The futuristic approach undertaken by developers opens way for the emergence of many mock objects with high destructive power. The main distinguishing feature of the game is this: the ability to destroy much of the scenery in a very attractive and engaging. In multiplayer mode, it is even more interesting, since it takes players to literally destroy everything to win.
The only game mode available, Damage Control, shows the potential of the graphics engine GEOMOD 2.0 Destruction, used to diversify the action of the game. And what does that mean? It means to destroy strategic points of the opponents is not only one extra: the own goal.
Destruction everywhere
Players are divided into two teams and fight for the rule of three targets on the map. To capture a strategic point dominated by the enemy, the gamer must destroy the object in question and then rebuild it with a weapon called Reconstructor. Traditionally, the player acquires experience points during the fighting that raise the level of gamer and unlock characters and other items. Even in the demo version, it was revealed that there will be a variety of objects and challenges - "challenges" - to be released in full version.
The controls are intuitive and simple, the visuals are polished (even with some poor textures) and the sound ambiance is infectious. In general, the defects of the game picked up for the ugly qualities found during the shootings. The vast scenarios create interesting possibilities of conflict and offer several strategic locations such as fire coverage. Of course, nothing that a hammer or some explosions not resolved.
Electrocute enemies, shrapnel them or blow them up with bombs are just some examples of exciting activities during the clashes.
