If Lanka enters final, President will be there !!

President Mahinda Rajapaksa is set to travel to Kensington Oval in Barbados in the event of Sri Lanka cricket team entering the finals in the ongoing cricket World Cup in the Caribbean.

The President yesterday wrapped up a four-day visit to Italy and was due in Colombo and will be travelling to the Caribbean for the finals depending on the outcome of Tuesday’s semi final between Sri Lanka and New Zealand at Sabina Park in Jamaica.

Well.. I'm not a big fan of Sri Lankan politics or politicians either, but one thing we must learn is to give credit to people when and where it deserves, From the day Mr.Rajapakshe took the presidency he did travel a lot but I think there is a deeper strategy to it than what we see on the above, which is he just travels on state expenses!!!

We should know that LTTE has its roots in every country strategically placed spacially in Europe where they get the highest amount of funding to kill all the Sri Lankans!! And also we must not forget that Tamil population world over is much higher than Sri Lankan population itself and what ever false propaganda LTTE create is easily spread through out the world also thanks to our "sleeping" overseas missionaries so called Sri Lankan embassies around the world LTTE has had no problem spreading rumors at all!!!:angry: :angry:

So personally I think Mr.President has taken a brave step to step out of the borders and educate the International community, and majority of international community is Christian or a derived form of Christian, so I think it was a good move to visit the leader of Christian community and educate them personally!!!

And on the matter of him visiting the world cup, if you have read the newspaper report some of the ministers have asked to visit all matches in super 8 @ state expenses which he rejected immediately...

And of course, he wont win the match for us, but it shows that the leader of the country is there to cheer his sons when it matters the most!!!:yes: :yes:
