You have to use WMV I guess. Not sure if you can do it with AVI.

Also I think you can do that with AutoGK, but it will NOT encode the audio. It will leave the 6-channel ac3 audio as from the DVD. This means, you will have to encode to 2CDs or otherwise the video quality will suck.

You can use Nero Vision, but its audio volume is very low. You can hardly hear the audio even when you crank up the volume to max.

But it's the fastest encoder available at the time I tested it (about two years ago).

Maybe, I repeat - MAYBE, they have corrected those issues with the latest releases of Nero Vision Express (Nero Recode, to be precise).
